Pizza Restaurant website
It’s always fun to create a restaurant website, you get to work with some of the best images… food. So, when the owners of Ringling Pizza and grill in Sarasota asked me to create a website for them, I was thrilled.
Ringling pizza has a great menu which means they have great pictures of pizza, cheesesteaks, wings and hot sandwiches. But a website has to be more than images, you need text to be found by the search engines. I went to work on creating a text version of their menu that the search engines would be able to read.
For a restaurant website, the key pieces of information that you’ll want to have are your menu, hours of operation, address and phone number and a map to help customers find you. It’s also possible to use what’s known as “geolocation” to find the user’s current position. This allows you to show your location on the map as well as the visitor’s location so they can determine how far away they are and get precise directions to your store.
There are some social networking sites that are geared towards restaurants and other local businesses. Sites like Foursquare, Yelp and Urbanspoon allow users to list their favorite restaurants and write reviews. To get the most exposure and establish a good social presence, consider listing (or claiming your listing) on these sites. Get involved and respond to reviews. Offer special discounts to customers who find you on these sites and encourage repeat business.
